Author Information

We especially love beer, but we also love anything fermented and/or distilled with flavor. One could say that we are flavorholics. We will taste pretty much anything and everything at least once no matter how unique, unusual, or different, and if we like it, we will gladly imbibe of it again. All we ask for is a little TLC, an irreverent disregard for corporate mediocrity, and a passion for all things local and sustainable. Cheers and Beers!

Acme California IPA ~ North Coast Brewing Company

Appearance:

pours with a rather large pithy head which fades slowly, leaving massive clumps of lace. Oranges and coppers glint and glimmer when held up the light. Swirls with clumps.

Nose:

very faint overall. Orange rind and pith. Lemon esters. Wheat crackers. Cut and dried green grass.

Palate:

orange and lemon rind than chewy sweetness of whole wheat breads in the back. Honeyed orange rind. Green grass flits along the edges.

Final Thoughts:

overall mild and unassuming. While not exactly memorable, it wasn’t disappointing either. An okay IPA that neither disappoints or impresses – it just is.
